Terms and Conditions

Payment terms

  1. For supply only projects and for deck reviving projects, 100% payment is due on order.
  2. For supply and installation projects, a 65% deposit is payable on acceptance of the quote, which must be signed by the purchaser and returned with POP. This confirms the project is added to the company installation schedule and the bulk of the materials can be purchased. A 25% progress payment is payable once material is on-site and installation commences. Installation will be delayed until this payment is received. The final 10% is payable once the project is complete.

Pricing

  1. All quotes are valid for 30 days only.
  2. Pricing is subject to change with or without notification, although we will always attempt to make all parties aware of price increases once known.

Delivery

  1. All prices of products are ex-warehouse in George and any delivery fee will be determined by the distance to site and the quantity of materials to be delivered and will be specified on the quote.
  2. The purchaser must ensure that the delivery address is clearly and correctly stated, that it is accessible, and that there are no obvious impediments to delivery vehicles and staff, including security access for gated estates. Non-timeous delivery due any of these issues may result in additional charges.
  3. No products will be hoisted over balconies, walls or through windows by Decks Etc. Should this be required, the purchaser will make such arrangements and accept any consequent risks and fees.
  4. Difficult sites should be discussed with the company prior to arranging delivery.

Installation

  1. Installation of the products will be carried out according to manufacturer/supplier recommendations.
  2. It is a condition of installation that the purchaser makes available:
    1. Reliable electrical power supply. In the event of power outages (Loadshedding or other causes) the company may elect to supply a generator in order to continue working. This will be charged to the purchaser’s account at the rate mentioned in the relevant quote.
    2. On-site toilet facilities. Should the client prefer, the company can arrange the hire of a site toilet for the duration of the project, and this will be charged at the rate mentioned in the relevant quote.
  3. The purchaser must warrant that the site is safe for installation. Whilst the company is covered by its own public liability insurance, the purchaser must make reasonable efforts to ensure safe working conditions, e.g. control of pets, safety of power supply, water supply etc. In the case where installation takes place at a building site, and/or where other trades and contractors are simultaneously working on the same site, the company may at its discretion refuse to continue with the installation in order to avoid damage to materials and/or injury to personnel. The purchaser shall have no claim against the company in terms of delays, penalties or other associated costs. Where other contractors may damage the deck/item being installed or request partial removal in order to complete their own work, materials that need to be replaced and/or the additional labour required to do this will result in additional charges to the client.
  4. Whilst every effort will be made to complete a project by the agreed date, installation may be delayed by unplanned circumstances, e.g. weather, power outages, material shortages, staff availability or other conditions. The purchaser will have no claim against the company in terms of delays, penalties or other associated costs.
  5. Access to site. In the case of a gated estate or similar, the purchaser must provide any required permissions for staff to gain access. The company will then arrange access with the relevant security/estate office. If there are delays in gaining access permissions, the purchaser shall have no claims against the company in terms of delays, penalties or other associated costs.

Ownership of goods

  1. All materials remain the property of the company until full payment has been received. In the case where goods are to be or have been installed by the company, the company maintains its right of removal, or may take repossession of same or part thereof if full payment is not made timeously.
  2. The company is deemed to have fulfilled its supply obligations if products are delivered to site. Such products then become the responsibility of the purchaser. Loss or damage to such products, which results in additional products being required to complete the order or project shall be for the purchaser’s account.
  3. The purchaser shall be liable to the company for all legal expenses, including any collection fees incurred in the collection of payment by an agency appointed by the company, and for litigation with regard to the collection of payment.
  4. Products that are not required for the installation as quoted, even if they have been delivered to site, are not the property of the purchaser. For example, extra items will likely be delivered to project sites in case of breakages, damage, miscalculations, wastage, off-cuts or just package quantities. It is specifically noted that such extra items remain the property of the company and may be removed from site at its discretion.

Returns

  1. Products may only be returned to the company by prior arrangement in writing with management. All goods will incur a 20% handling fee. Goods will only be accepted if they are undamaged, complete and are in a resaleable condition. Transport costs for the collection/delivery of returned goods are for the Purchaser’s account.
  2. The purchaser must request a Goods Returned Form from the company signed by a company representative. Payment will only be made once the products recorded on such a form have been inspected.
  3. Should the products be rejected, the purchaser will be informed timeously and must collect them within 10 working days.

Privacy

Whilst the company will make all reasonable efforts to maintain the privacy of its clients, the purchaser specifically agrees to the use of any images or video taken at the delivery or installation site for the purposes of marketing, promotion, training or related activities by the company.
